Meet the Team
Our team of committed, passionate, and caring professionals are dedicated to providing locally prepared delicious meals to West Michigan families and businesses.

Terry Ellison
I’ve been in the industry for 26 years. I earned my associate’s degree in culinary arts from Johnson & Wales University, bachelor’s degree in hospitality from the University of Tennessee, and a master’s degree in teaching from Ashford University. My most recent jobs were instructor at the Culinary Institute of Michigan and Grand Rapids Community College, the Secchia Institute, and executive chef at both Rockwell Republic in Grand Rapids and Covenant Village of the Great Lakes in Standale.

Michael Hepworth
Michael joined LEK in 2020 and works hard to keep things clean and organized so the chefs can keep cooking! He graduated from Grand Haven High School in 2014 and recently moved into his own apartment. He loves classic rock and knows just about every bit of trivia there is to know about it! Michael has attended dozens of rock concerts and is pursuing his lifelong goal of learning to play the guitar. He collects classic Matchbox cars.

Tyler Zentkovich
I work part time at LEK doing dishes and helping with food packaging and labeling. I graduated from Grand Haven High School in 2020 and I live at home with my three siblings. I like to watch sports — basketball is my favorite. I enjoy spending time with family and going out to eat with friends.

Mark Becker
That Mark guy has been in the service industry for over 20 years. He has catered just about everywhere you can think of. From private jets, homes, barns, river boats, beaches, stadiums and everything in between. When not working he’ll be hiking, reading adventure books or eating PB & J sandwiches.

Aaron Johnson
I’m simple on the outside and complex in the middle, just like a working kitchen. If I’m not busy at LEK you can find me running for miles and hours at a time on the streets, in the dunes or in the woods. Always training! I’m well seasoned with over 25 years of kitchen life under my belt bolstered by a BA in Hospitality from Michigan State University and an AOS in Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu, Western Culinary Institute. I’ve cooked and cleaned, I’ve taught, I’ve managed and now I own. And now I do all that here at LEK. I’m a proud father of two, happy to say I am madly in love with my wife and absolutely love West Michigan!

Mandy Anderson
I have a passion for coffee, the beach, and making sure everyone finds a place to belong. I’m an advocate for foster care, adoption, and disability rights. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Public Relations and have worked in newspapers, advertising, and corporate communications. I served on the board of Autism Support of West Shore for six years, and I volunteer as a youth leader at my church and at Bair Lake Bible Camp in Jones, Mich. My husband, David, and I moved to Grand Haven from Detroit in 2000. We have five sons.
